Meeting summary*:
The SC spent most of the meeting with discussions and preparations for an upcoming meeting about the future development of IENE. Experiences and evaluation of the IENE 2016 conference was discussed. The SC got reports from ongoing work with a European defragmentation map and about the development of a project for International guidelines for ecologically-adapted linear infrastructure. Presentations about IENE have recently been held in Athens, Greece, in Perugia, Italy and on Hawaii. The secretariat reported that IENE has got 20 new members since the last SC meeting (from Czech Republic, France, Iceland, Ireland, Norway, Slovakia, Spain, Sweden, Tanzania and United Kingdom).
