Successful IENE workshop

An IENE supported workshop took place on May 4, 2016 at Budapest Zoo & Botanical Garden in Hungary. It was the 6th event about transport infrastructure and its effects on wildlife that has been organized by the Hungarian Toad Action Group Association, and supported by the Hungarian Academy of Sciences (MTA Centre for Ecological Research) and Budapest Zoo, in cooperation with IENE.

The workshop included presentations related to linear infrastructure, environment impact assessments, mitigation measures and monitoring in Europe. The event was aimed to honor the memory of Dr. Miklós Puky who established the Toad Action Group in 1986 and was a member of the IENE Steering Committee (SC).

IENE SC member Elke Hahn presenting the activities of IENE during the past 20 years since the start of the network.
