Call for Abstracts – 3rd Asia Transportation Ecology Forum (23–24 October 2025, Beijing, China & Online)
Theme: Ecology, Inclusion, and Innovation
Asia, home to the world’s largest population and most expansive transport infrastructure, also harbors exceptional biodiversity and ecological resources. Balancing rapid transport development with environmental stewardship is a pressing challenge for the region.
To address this, the 3rd Asia Transportation Ecology Forum will be held in Beijing from 23–24 October 2025, in a hybrid format (in-person and online). Building on the success of previous editions that brought together nearly 600 experts from 37 countries, this forum aims to foster in-depth academic and practical exchange on transportation ecology.
Organised by the China Academy of Transportation Sciences and the China Sustainable Transport Innovation Center, in collaboration with domestic and international institutions, the Forum encourages contributions across disciplines, focusing on integrating ecological principles into transport planning, design, and policy.
Key topics include:
-
Wildlife-transport conflict mitigation
-
Ecological restoration and invasive species control
-
Transport-related water and air pollution
-
Low-carbon and sustainable infrastructure
-
Environmental impact assessment
-
Policy, public participation, and emerging technologies
